Our experience working with Jeri has been absolutely fantastic! Before connecting with her, we struggled with organizing paperwork and building a general understanding of nonprofit operations. Thanks to Jeri’s tremendous support, we successfully obtained our 501(c)(3) status, created essential organizational documents, provided board trainings, and established valuable collaborations with other organizations. Jeri’s expertise and encouragement made all the difference—keep doing you, Jeri, you’re amazing, and we appreciate you so much!

What is nonprofit governance?
Nonprofit governance is the framework that helps an organization lead with clarity and confidence. It includes the structures, policies, and shared responsibilities that guide how a board and staff work together to support the mission.
Strong governance creates a firm foundation, one that brings order to complexity, reduces stress and confusion, and supports thoughtful decision-making. When roles are clear and expectations are shared, boards are better equipped to focus on leadership rather than crisis management, helping prevent burnout and disengagement.
Good governance isn’t rigid or limiting. It’s expandable and adaptable, growing alongside the organization. It creates an environment of support, learning, and accountability, where board members feel informed, inspired, and confident in their role, and where the organization can plan, grow, and respond to change with intention.
